Illume... thats where we start

Sitting idle around 10:00 Wednesday night, 27th Feb; yet another thought came to me. Like all the hell lot confusions that are there because of my little knowledge of physics,this again is one of them.
Reading a novel, angels and demons, I remembered one of the writings of Stephan Hawking's writings saying something about what was the big bang and the starting millisecond about the size, temperature etc of the world, he stated that the temperature was in trillions or so.
He said one day or the other man will know how the whole big bang occurred, if it remains a true concept(well i doubt as many concepts went to trash from centuries), but as per him we will never be able to know why at all this happened.In short, we can find the answer of how but we can never find the answer of why.

What my thought is :--
It can only be known why it happened if we know the previous state of it.. For happening of something there must be a reason, as we all know.
What i believe is:--

There was nothing but Energy.

The sky, our universe was not like the way it is today but very different..
The E=mc2 was still valid but not the same we see as a way to convert mass into energy but the other way round.
The God(This is the best part ;) )
had totally different way of looking at it.He changed the way we look by creating the world not out of nowhere but rather out of the very bright illuminated world which we can't see today.That's all my point is.. We all are out of the Light which once by some unimaginable activity created the world. I referred it as "God's work" simply because I don't know how to explain why that light transformed into matter..What I presented is the other possible form in which matter might have existed. Unstable might be an answer, but the question comes
Q1 For how long was it unstable?
Q2 Was there anything before light or its just an endless cycle matter,energy and matter again??
